After the earthy, pragmatic, and ambitious energy of Capricorn, we are ready to harness the fiery and visionary energy of this eclipse to breathe life, passion, and creativity into our plans/intentions for 2019. With the Leo moon/Aquarius sun axis, we want the freedom to be ourselves and also to be recognized for it. Given that we may have had to go underground for the last part of 2018, working behind the scenes, part of us is ready for more visibility and engagement with our tribe.
Jupiter joins Venus in Sagittarius, bringing an exuberant and magnanimous energy to the air. It’s trine Mars in Aries, increasing our confidence and desire to charge full speed ahead. Enjoy the power surge that these configurations bring! Neptune is square Jupiter and Venus, which helps temper and soften any zealous, strident energy that can come with a strong Sagittarius signature. Sagittarius loves to have a moral structure and value system to guide actions and decisions. Nothing wrong with this approach, however when we are seduced by an external value system hook line and sinker, we might ignore the voice inside of us that yearns for the freedom to interpret it in our own way and be open to other perspectives. Neptune is reminding us to keep the door open and listen to that voice with a gentle, welcoming attitude. We’re being asked to open up to a bigger dream for ourselves, to let go of rigid thought patterns that hold our energy hostage. Distinguishing between right and wrong, real and illusion, good and bad, is much more nuanced at this time.
This eclipse also promises to bring some twists and turns. We’re taking cues from the summer, particularly end of July to mid August. What desires were strong in you then? How have they evolved? As this eclipse is in 0 degrees Leo, just after the Sun moves into Aquarius, it’s too early to tell how things will play out, and with the strong Uranus signature, there’s a dose of the unexpected. The universe is asking us not to get too locked into one particular approach. To be truly innovative is to be non-attached to outcome, to trust what’s unfolding before us. With the fiery, expansive energy comes a need to break out of past patterns and structures that we’ve grown out of.
We may encounter a perceived roadblock or obstacle to our progress. Hold any impatience that comes up with tenderness. Part of us is really raring to go, and it may be hard to keep in mind that any current challenges are making us stronger for the long term. Rest assured that they are, and tend to your emotional body in the meantime to make sure that you are telling an empowering story about whatever is transpiring for you. Look to your relationships to help inspire you and give you faith in what’s possible.
In summary, we’re breathing life and color and passion into our intentions for 2019. Don’t be surprised if you come across some shifts and turns, highlighting where we may be getting too small in our vision or overly attached to past structures. Be willing to be more visible within your community to share your energy and to receive inspiration and connection with others that encourage you to be yourself.
