Often times the type of and quality of question we ask has a direct bearing on the type of solution/answer we come up with. No sign better understands this than Gemini. Some questions we ask ourselves close the door on exploration and innovation right out of the gate, and they typically begin with “Why can’t I…attract enough money, a great romantic partner, a better job, etc.” This type of self-questioning offers another opportunity for us to feel bad about ourselves and little else of value. Gemini, on the other hand, reorients us into the realm of possibility by simply getting curious about what’s going on. And this naturally leads us to ask more open-ended questions, for example, “In what ways might I explore new job opportunities?” and “How can I celebrate the current level of connection and love I feel to those around me?” or even “What are some interesting ways I could add an additional source of monthly income?”.
For this new moon, pay attention to the quality of the questions you are asking. We are redefining our perspective and expanding our awareness of what’s possible. Part of Gemini’s method is to be playful and easy about it all. The stories we tell ourselves have such an impact on our lived emotional experience. This new moon is asking us to pay attention to those stories and the resulting questions we are asking and potentially do some editing or maybe even a complete rewrite. Your emotions will guide you as to what needs tweaking and what is working well.
Regarding the specific astrological aspects, Neptune is moving into its square with the Sun (exact on 6/9), so we’ll feel this impact in the days to follow this new moon. Neptune is also moving into its 2nd square of this year with Jupiter (read the overview on that aspect here) on 6/16, so we have a distinct Neptunian influence going on right now. This further emphasizes the need to be easy about things and also gentle with yourself. Like the tide coming in and smoothing out the sand, Neptune washes us clean and dissolves anything that may be standing in the way of us having a bigger dream for ourselves. This process can be inspiring and at the same time can be disorienting for our ego.
Mars in Cancer is moving into its opposition to Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, which will be exact from 6/12 – 6/19. We are coming to the close of a chapter of our inner development which has significant implications for the structure of our home and family life. On a cellular level, we are getting in touch with what has the most meaning for us and making some decisions about what that looks like in the day to day fabric of our lives. Don’t be surprised if there are some feelings of grief that accompany this process. Stay rooted in your values so that you don’t get overwhelmed by the options available.
Intentions: Any decisions I make are based on asking questions that embrace possibility and expansion. I enjoy exploring a different storyline for my current situation. I release old dreams that no longer serve me.
