9.13-14: Harvest Moon in Pisces – The Fruits of Our Labor

You are here: Home / Moon Report / 9.13-14: Harvest Moon in Pisces – The Fruits of Our Labor

//  by Lizzy Zuege//  Leave a Comment

With all of the planets in Virgo of late, we’ve been laser focused on making improvements in our world. Along with this can be a lot of striving and hard work. Enter the moon in Pisces, softening our edges, reminding us to relax and trust in all that is unfolding. The Pisces signature of this full moon is profound, as Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, is conjunct the moon. Our consciousness and felt sense of divine love and compassion are right there, waiting for us to take notice and set down our laptop (or tool of choice). This is a soothing, regenerative balm for our souls and spirits. It’s the universe reminding us to exhale in order to receive the next cycle, to keep our senses rested and alert and not strung out on the next thing on the to-do list. We often want to escape and check out when the moon conjuncts Neptune (which it does once a month). Just be mindful of doing things that make you feel even more spaced out as you’ll end up feeling weary and depleted in the end.

This full moon pulls us into our hearts and into our faith in a major way. The harmonic of divine love is available for us to tap into, and with both Venus and Mercury at 29 degrees Virgo, there’s a sense of finality and closure with the lessons we’ve been learning lately. As a result, we’ve become stronger. We’ve increased our integrity and confidence. There’s a sense of sincerity behind our efforts that others are responding to. We’re starting to better understand and see proof of how our heart can be an incredible guide to our minds when we trust and listen to it.

Hopefully you are seeing how much more you are capable of and the ways in which you can contribute to your community. And this doesn’t come from a selfless perspective this time around. It comes from a self-full awareness of all that you have to offer, and how good it feels to have a place for your skills and mastery to land.

This full moon also asks us to specialize; to distill our efforts and pay attention to specific avenues that emerge to develop our skills. Many moons ago I chose to specialize in Astrology, and early in that journey I found an amazing astrology book in a free box which I still use to this day.  The following is from that book:“…Virgo represents the womb of time within which all bodies undergo a slow gestation in preparation for the ultimate harvest of their nutritive essence.” (Astrology, the Divine Science, by Marcia Moore and Mark Douglas.) I love this quote because I think it sheds light on an important part of the Virgo/Pisces axis. We need the trust and faith of Pisces to get through the slow gestation to get to the essence, distillation, and specificity of Virgo. I believe we go through gestation cycles throughout our lives, which is why the question “what do I want to be when I grow up” is unfortunate and limiting. Virgo wants to continually improve, and it’s where we find our fulfillment from the work itself. This Pisces full moon helps us to trust in and enjoy the fruits of our labor as well as the process to grow them.

Questions to Ponder: Where do I feel most useful, most purposeful in my life right now? How is my heart guiding my day-to-day work? Where do I need an infusion of faith and trust? How can I create some space to put myself in the receptive mode?
