This new moon brings a cause to celebrate. Maybe we got some good news at work. Or we’ve come to the end of a project that had the intended impact and others are taking notice. Perhaps its in the form of a new family member, or coming to a new level of appreciation of those that are like family to us. Whatever it is (keep in mind it doesn’t have to be a huge life event), it’s time to acknowledge our happiness and enjoy ourselves. So buy the top shelf wine, make a fancy dinner, and break out the sexy outfit. This moon is a prime opportunity to acknowledge a special moment in time by showing to ourselves and others that we truly matter and what we do has a positive impact in the world.
Saturn is sextile Neptune and Mercury for this new moon, showing us that our foundation and alignment is stronger and more resilient than we give ourselves credit for. With this strong foundation, the limits of our energy and spirit knows no bounds, as far as Sagittarius is concerned. Mars opposed Uranus is liberating us from learned limitations and habitual patterns that have kept us overly bound to routine. We’re veering off the tried and true cow path we’ve always taken to experiment with a new approach. There’s a joyful trailblazer archetype to these configurations, cheering us on to ask for more and aspire to greater heights.
Sagittarius is a fire sign and with it comes purification. The sun’s journey in Scorpio (10/23-11/20) this year brought to light what we need to release and let go of to move on more fully into the next cycle. The fall rules decay, and although it may not sound glamorous, the decay of the fall creates a rich soil for the springtime growth. We are an intimate part of this seasonal transition. After the emotional intensity of Scorpio, Sagittarius brings hope and promise for the future. It’s optimistic and visionary. It lifts us up, dusts us off, and gives us a pep talk. This new moon celebrates where we’ve been and gives us a window into what we’re becoming.
Intentions: I cultivate a sense of freedom and adventure. I trust in my intuition and communicate my vision to others. I find reasons to celebrate myself and others. My own sense of truth is clear to me and I trust in it to guide my actions.
