Since Christmas, we’ve been going full throttle with eclipses and Saturn conjunct Pluto. This new moon is an opportunity to stop and chill. We’re rebalancing our soul and psyche with some needed R&R. That may look like different things to different people; for some it’s getting outside, for others it’s taking a long bath or lounging around in bed for a luxurious amount of time. We are coming back to stillness to relax and recharge our minds and bodies.
The sun and moon are at 4 degrees of Aquarius, which is a stabilizing degree. Let go of any notions of what self-care “should” look like for you, and go with your heart and gut. Mercury is just past the new moon at 13 degrees Aquarius, emphasizing logic and fairness in our thinking. Now that we’ve been through a month of transformation with the eclipses, a cooler head is prevailing, helping us to assess where we are right now and what we’ve learned. Uranus squares this new moon, making it more difficult to easily fall back into old habits and patterns. A little discomfort is to be expected, and you may want to experiment with trying out some new beliefs and seeing how you feel as a result. Ultimately Uranus and Aquarius want personal freedom and expression, to not get stuck in a way of being that is habitual and outdated. This serves us because tapping into our authenticity is the first step in manifesting and creating what you want for 2020.
Venus is closing in on its conjunction with Neptune, exact on 1/27, further emphasizing contemplation and self-care. This energy gets us into the receptive mode where we allow more support and more encouragement from the universe. Be easy about whatever comes across your way, since gentleness and compassion are the best technique to harmonize with the universal energies.
Mars is square Neptune for the new moon, which opens us up to our vulnerability and humanness. Don’t overindulge in victim stories, like “why does this always happen to me?” If you are feeling insecure, consider slowing down and getting into your flow by doing something that you love to do.
This new moon is reminding us to come back to ourselves after we’ve had a heavy dose of Capricorn and Cancer responsibilities in the last few weeks. Our souls want to change it up and release the burdens of other people’s energy that we may have been carrying around. Everyone has their own path to walk in this world, and this new moon is reminding us to stay in our lane and attend to our energy first.
Intentions: what’s my favorite way to relax and how can I build it more into my life? What have I clarified for myself in the last few weeks? What am I willing to be accountable for, and what am I not?
