In what has been an unpredictable and uncertain year, this full moon highlights where you are at with your relationship to faith. Not necessarily in any one particular deity or God, but in yourself. Many definitions of faith focus on the loyal and dutiful qualities of the word. However, equally as important is the constancy, the commitment to yourself and what you care about. Has your faith wavered since the spring? I bet it has at least been tested. With Uranus squaring this full moon, it acts like some cold water to the face, startling us out of the trance of unworthiness. This trance tricks you into believing that thinking that something is wrong with you and “working on your stuff” is somehow pious, humble, or even spiritually desirable. It fuels mental patterns of deficiency and separateness. What this full moon shows us is that a sense of belonging to yourself is now more important than ever. According to the spiritual teacher Tara Brach, “The boundary to what we can accept is the boundary to our freedom.” I find this fascinating, as the planet Uranus and the sign Aquarius, both prominent for this full moon, are so freedom-loving, yet sometimes are challenged to feel a sense of social belonging. That sense of belonging starts with yourself and is the pathway to more spontaneous self-expression. This full moon shows you where you can bring greater levels of self-acceptance to bear in your life thereby fueling your faith, inner resolve, and sense of freedom.
Our minds and conversations tend towards the serious with Saturn opposed Mercury. This is a great configuration for thorough research and projects/tasks requiring mental discipline and focus. However, jokes and sarcasm are bound to fall flat. You’ll also want to avoid doing any aggressive self-inventory, as your perspective may be overly harsh. Channel this aspect towards tying up loose ends and finishing something you’ve already started.
You may be getting some mixed messages in your relationships. You’ll be wanting to make some adjustments that have you yearning for clarity. However, Neptune continues to square Venus, which means you could feel confused and uncertain or perhaps just downright spacey on where to go from here. Attend to your heart and what it desires to help balance out any critical mental energy you may experience. Most likely no action is needed. Instead, focus on what your energy is doing and shift the dynamic from there.
The Aquarius energy of this full moon gives you a reprieve from caring too much about what others think of you. In fact, it’s an open invitation to not care at all, really. There are other dynamics with Mercury and Venus that may pull you into a storyline/negative thinking that isn’t yours and my hope is that Uranus squaring this full moon will help you snap out of that. Also, you might consider allowing in greater levels of self-acceptance from your heart and spirit to turn down the noise on any current drama (the full moon tends to bring that out of all of us). Channel any dramatic energy towards celebration, playfulness, and honest, free-flowing self-expression. There is a perceptiveness and purity to your energy right now. Shine your light and see what happens.
Questions to Ponder: How am I becoming more attuned and accepting of my inner workings? Where do I desire a greater sense of belonging in my world right now? In what ways am I liberating myself from thoughts of separateness and perceived deficiencies that no longer serve me? If I didn’t care what other people thought of my actions, what would I do?
