The Pisces ocean waters are fast moving for this eclipse. There’s plenty of wind to power your sail, so what direction is your boat headed? And how fast do you want to go? In a larger sailboat, you can either add more sails to go faster, or if you are feeling a bit out of control, let down a sail or two to reduce your speed. It’s not an option to try to go against the wind, unless you want to get blown backwards and off course. I am not the hardiest of sailors, I will be the first to admit, despite growing up close to the ocean. When you really get going fast with a good wind, the boat is at an angle, and water is usually spraying everywhere. It’s exciting and dynamic, and sometimes you have to lean way far out on the opposite side of the boat to counter balance it so you can go even faster. Last summer when I did a sailing trip with my family (including my toddler son) I was terrified while we were going fast and so grateful when they slowed the boat down a bit by letting out a sail or two. This Full Moon is about you finding your pace in what may be some fast-moving waters. It doesn’t matter whether you want to go fast or slow. Just make it your own.
The Harvest moon is where you do just that: harvest our efforts over the past few months. What seeds did you sow in the spring that are ripe fruit now? You are under some direct pressure to change some dynamics in your relationships that are no longer working by creating better boundaries. There is a lot coming at you, and you may feel confused, overwhelmed, or ambiguous. With Pisces, the path through this turbulence is to let go of control and attend to your flow. Your sensitivity is your superpower, even though it may not feel like it sometimes. You are being asked to track the emerging obvious and subtle energies of the moment to help you navigate current territory. You are also being asked for greater levels of flexibility and at the same time to cultivate a strong connection to your inner compass. While those two things can seem like they are at odds with each other, with a strong inner compass you can easily recalculate your route from any detour versus getting hopelessly lost. Honestly, even if you do get hopelessly lost, that may be just what the doctor ordered to help you learn how to ask for help and support. There isn’t a right or wrong way through this harvest time.
If you are overly attached to something from your ego/personality perspective but your soul is just not down with it, that will become abundantly clear. Your inner critic is under intense pressure to change. There’s an off chance that you’ve put yourself in too small a box.
If that is the case for you, it may be time to redefine true success and happiness in your world. There are some deeper truths emerging from your unconscious. It may be hard to tell truth from fiction in the moment, so my suggestion is to capture the thoughts and at a later time when you don’t have so much coming at you; you can revisit them and see how your body and psyche respond.
Questions to Ponder: In what ways am I enjoying the wind being at my back? How can I cultivate a stronger connection to my inner compass? Where am I aware of a deep sense of gratitude for some aspect of my life and how can I amplify this feeling?
