This new moon heralds a significant turning point and brings some chaos along with it. The scales of justice in Libra are here to bring a fair and balanced perspective to your current situation. No longer can you stay stuck on an angry storyline of retaliation that may have come up for you with the Mars retrograde during the last few weeks. You are finding ways to cooperate and seek understanding outside of your own point of view. With Mars opposing this new moon, there is a call to action, as well as some dynamic tension. You are feeling acutely the long and short term impacts of your actions, some of which may feel out of control right now. You are finding ways to detach and get some objectivity so you can work through the patterns that are breaking down and finish strong.
The Sun and Moon square Pluto and Saturn for this moon, which is part of the aforementioned chaos, as well as the complexity. The astrological cycle moves in a circle, like the seasons, so that whenever we end a cycle we are sowing the seeds for the next. The decomposition of the energy leaves fertile ground for the upcoming chapter. And this requires us to let go and release. Anything that we are holding onto unnecessarily will become painfully obvious with this new moon. Keep in mind that you are an evolving, dynamic, and creative vibrational being. Never let current circumstances convince you that what you are experiencing right now is static.
Your heart has the answers for the questions you are asking yourself and others right now with the ruler of this new moon, Venus, opposing Neptune and trining Jupiter. What compassionate actions are you called to perform? As Venus is in Virgo, follow your instincts to be of service and help others. It can be very grounding to get your elderly neighbor some toilet paper or help someone make a connection to get a new job. If you are getting caught in black and white, right and wrong thinking in your mind, this is a good indicator to focus on helping someone else to help right your mental ship.
Uranus opposing Mercury stirs up the communication pot, bringing us something new and unexpected. Because Mercury is retrograde, it’s hard to tell whether it’s good or bad news. And as always with Mercury retrograde, there is more to the story and more will be revealed in the coming weeks. I predict that this October will go down as one for the ages politically speaking with “October surprises” for the US presidential candidates. It’s our job to keep retraining our focus and vibration away from the drama and direct it towards the government and society we want to create.
