This eclipse is activating our mind and mental processes with a flow of ideas and options. After doing some clearing work with Mars opposed Pluto last week, the universe is wasting no time in showing you what you could fill that space with. Circulate and expose yourself to different forms of communication and information. Think of yourself like a journalist hot on the trail of a story, opening up new levels of perceptiveness in you to take in all of the dynamics and details.
What is real and what is illusion may be difficult to discern this eclipse with Neptune square the nodes and Mercury retrograde. Another way to say that is what is just an idea versus what is real could get confusing. It is a good time for idea generation and brainstorming, though. You can review and prioritize the information that emerges later. Focus now on the volume of ideas versus the quality of them.
Get your journal out and just let your mind go free to wherever it wants to go. You may surprise yourself with what emerges. In conversations with others, make sure to clarify up front that you want to brainstorm versus problem solve. Use the “yes and” principle of brainstorming/creative thinking, where you respond to the thoughts of others by building on them with “yes and” versus evaluating them or saying “yes but.”
With all of the energy swirling around, the storyline is changing, and you are acutely aware of how the story you tell matters and immediately influences your current emotional state. This eclipse gives you an opportunity to balance and unify your logical mind with compassion and love. Jupiter makes a nice trine to Venus, which soothes and balances any overactive mental energy that may be pulling you in too many directions. The same goes for Mars trine Neptune; you are able to integrate your intuition and logic in ways you may not have thought possible in the past.
One shadow side of Gemini is compartmentalizing ideas and situations to the point that you feel internal conflict. With this eclipse, you are transcending that tendency by opening yourself up to new dimensions of perception that allow you to glimpse the unifying principles underlying it all.
Intentions: I am expanding my ability to hold different ideas and perspectives, and I trust myself and my responses in the face of uncertainty and/or ambiguity. I hold whatever stories emerge with the changes in my life gently, knowing that I choose a healing, empowering story.
