This is the main astrological event of 2022, a decidedly different year than 2021. And it is building on a dream you started three years ago. Think back to 2019. What did you reimagine then? Jupiter and Neptune squared off, asking you to reconcile any polarities in yourself and bring in compassion. How did your dream change and morph for yourself in the past three years with everything that is going on? Probably some options fell by the wayside. And others opened up to you. My personal story is that my family and I moved from Seattle to Vermont in 2019 to be closer to family. I got a job in Burlington, VT in healthcare and we got a great rental home which we assumed would be temporary. We moved here excited to find a more permanent home and build a community. Those two dreams had to take a back burner during the past three years. However, a 100% remote job opportunity came up for me, a much better fit, which didn’t exist prior to the pandemic. We also realized that while we were closer to family, a several-hour drive is still a significant journey. My point is that our dream evolved, and now we have secured a home that is 15 min away from family in Connecticut and we are over the moon about it. And this option wasn’t an obvious path when we started out to build our dream life in 2019. In what ways has a dream for yourself morphed and evolved during the last three years?
When Jupiter and Neptune join together, you are being asked to look at where you have resigned yourself to staying too small and too mundane. There is faith and grace available for you to fill yourself up with. You do have to look up from your routine to ask for it. In her book, Radical Compassion, the Buddhist teacher Tara Brach encourages readers to find a touchstone of the feeling of universal love to visualize when you might feel far removed from it, such as when you experience self-judgment, blame, stress, anger, guilt, or resentment. That just a little bit can help hold your big feelings and allow them to flow and evolve versus push them away, which just amplifies them more. Some examples of what people used from her book are: pictures of beloved children and pets, visualizing the Dalai Lama smiling at them, the feeling of a hug from a beloved, …Whatever it is for you, it should be something that evokes feelings of love that is as uncomplicated as possible. For me, the felt sense that come up was the Sun on my face and body. Just writing that now made my shoulders relax! The magical mystical stew of Jupiter and Neptune coming together creates a potent cauldron, capable of rich imagination and visualization in your consciousness. Create a fertile place in your being for this energy to take root by practicing basking in the feeling of universal love whenever you can.
