7.28 New Moon in Leo: Innovation

You are here: Home / Moon Report / 7.28 New Moon in Leo: Innovation

To best honor Leo energy, it’s always wise to start with a playful, childlike approach. If petty conflicts are taking up your time, see where you can laugh it off and distract yourself with more constructive use of your energy. Competition can get a bad rap in spiritual circles. It’s not seen as evolved or compassionate. And certainly, there are ways to compete that are incredibly destructive. However, if you think about the Olympics as an example, athletes are constantly breaking world records and adding more and more complicated and difficult components to their events. The competition helps them break new ground and go beyond what everyone thought was possible. Did you know that the current world record for running a mile is 3 min 43 seconds, set by Hicham El Guerrouj??? How is that even possible? And someone will probably break that record before too long. My point is not that you should dust off your running shoes, but more that you should look at any areas of your life where there is some competition or comparison.  See how you can channel it into expanding beyond any self-imposed limits.

The mysterious other is knocking on your door. Think back to the end of March 2022. What surprise/upset transpired for you then, and how did it open you up to new experiences and new desires? Accessing this drive and desire is important to deepen your courage and conviction about something you are pursuing now. If you encounter the weird and unconventional in another, get curious. Be playful and easy about it. A different approach by another doesn’t have to directly threaten your identity, although it can feel that way sometimes. Create some spaciousness around any big feelings that emerge for you.

Because Mars and Uranus are at the tip of a T-Square that includes Saturn and Mercury, the pressure is on, causing some eruptions in your world. Uranus and Mars work in fast, sudden, even chaotic ways. You will be called to examine your relationship to change.  Wherever you have been resisting it will become obvious. Later in the fall, Mars will turn retrograde, and the upcoming conjunction of Mars and Uranus on 8.1 is highlighting where your actions and motivations need to change for the long term. I suspect the themes you are experiencing now will be part of your Mars retrograde experience this fall. Take your time with it, as the universe is saying that there are a few steps in the process to unpack what’s going on and chart a different course by the end of the year/early 2023.

Intentions: I make space for the great mystery in my current situation to bring me insight into the unknown. I embrace current changes as opportunities for self-discovery and I let go of any pressure on myself for my process to look or be a certain way.
