You are most likely not alone if you are feeling a bit beaten down by recent events. This eclipse shows you your resistance to current changes and brings some instability along with it. If you think about the role resistance plays in exercise, you know you need it to strengthen your muscles and even recover from injuries. Stabilizer muscles play a critical role in keeping proper alignment to keep you out of pain. To strengthen them you have to intentionally move your body in a way to destabilize them. The metaphor of physical exercise is an important one for you to keep foremost in your mind as you encounter any psychological, mental, or emotional resistance from yourself and others with this eclipse.
For this eclipse, the sun is sandwiched between mercury and Venus and the moon is right next to Uranus. All of this energy is then squared by Saturn. That feels jangled and you are going to need to slay the drama and take the high road, hard as it might be to do so. It’s like a bucking bronco, where you are hell-bent on being free of any constraints but hard as you try, you can’t get the rider off of your back. In this scenario, you can waste a lot of energy charging around and trying to deal with things directly. Mars retrograde is here to tell you to slow down. To go sideways. You know how much less threatened we are by someone sidling up to us instead of approaching us head-on? How we perceive threats is wired into our nervous system. In what ways can you be more non-threatening? That is the style that is required for the wildcard energy of this eclipse.
How does experiencing internal or psychological resistance make you stronger? In theory it should, but how? Attend and befriend. Get to know the resistance. Anxiety demands certainty, which unfortunately the world simply isn’t going to give you. That’s why you acknowledge the resistance and give yourself the encouragement you need to transcend it. Adopt a friendly and kind voice to yourself and just keep going. The shadow side of Taurus can find you sticking your head in the sand and being in denial of what’s actually happening around you. Don’t let this happen to you. If you have been in denial about anything, this eclipse will make it painfully obvious.
Questions to Ponder: What are the different ways I am encountering resistance in myself and others and how can these experiences make me stronger and more resilient? In what areas of my life do I need some fresh energy and ideas to move forward? How might I deal with any conflict that comes up with an indirect approach?
