Mars joins the moon, and in its retrograde state, you are tracking your thinking and conversations to see where you might allow mature wisdom to blossom as opposed to being blown about by different information. A great place to start is usually decreasing your screen time and spending more time tending to the health of your mind. The internet is designed to pull you in all directions at once, to keep you scrolling through clickbait and comparing yourself to the posts of others on social media. Yes, of course, there is incredible knowledge and inspiration to be had online. Be honest with yourself though, realistically, how much of your screen time is dedicated to activities that give you energy and make you feel better about yourself? This full moon is asking for responsible communication, to allow for nuance and shades of gray, and to give others the benefit of the doubt versus stirring up a battle of the minds. Think about what activities help you better understand and honor paradox and do more of them.
Mercury, the ruler of this Full Moon, joins Venus in the sky, allowing for cooperation and adaptability. You need to explore some ideas and options before committing to any of them. Just make sure that you clarify when you are mentally exploring something and when you are making a commitment to someone about what you actually want to do. Seek out others who you feel you can safely mentally explore with. It’s ok to play devil’s advocate if it helps you better determine what you think. If you end up more scattered and confused than when you started, then it might be time to go take a walk to clear your mind and energy.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the temptation to overdo that might arise in you with Mars right next to the Moon. Mars heats up whatever it touches, giving you energy, and at the same time it’s square Jupiter and Neptune, which means you may be fooled by your own estimation of what’s possible for your physical self right now. Favor activities like dance or yoga that allow you to modify and ramp up or down as you go. Release your competitive spirit and allow for a more spiritual dimension of your physical self to shine through. Neptune blurs the edges so you can let go of hard and fast ideas about who you are and the roles that you play.
Questions to Ponder: What are my warning signs for when I’m overstimulated and how can I provide myself with some breaks from outside input to recharge? How is my level of communication with my physical self right now, and how might I listen more deeply to my body’s wisdom?
