This new moon helps to release tension with whatever built up in you during the recent Mars retrograde cycle. You need to clear the air and get any stuck energy moving. Think back to mid-late August 2022. What was up for you at that time? How have you grown and evolved since then? Because of the strong emphasis in Aquarius, you have easy access to your truth. Are you brave enough to share it? And risk alienating others? Authenticity is supposedly prized and valued in our culture, however, one side effect of being authentic is upsetting others who have strong opinions/expectations/judgments about what you should and shouldn’t be doing. And these others can be people that don’t even know you very well but make assumptions about you based on a few details. It’s human nature to categorize people. When you choose to buck against that, you may feel lonely. It may be hard not to take the strong reaction of others personally when it has way more to do with them than you. Take heart and stand your ground, because this truth will set you free and your real friends will celebrate it. If they don’t, it’s time to make some new friends.
Venus and Saturn join each other in the sky in Aquarius, which is typically a reserved, cautious aspect. You may find it difficult to trust and be emotionally expressive during this full moon. This energy is keeping your emotions in check so you can access your cold hard logic, reasoning, and intellect. Embrace your inner ice queen archetype. Not the part of the ice queen that is cruel and power-hungry, mind you. That is a distortion of the pure clarity this energy offers (and probably an interpretation colored by patriarchal fear and insecurity). I know I typically talk about connecting with your feelings and body wisdom, and I do that to balance the emphasis our culture and environment places on our mental abilities. However, there is a time and place for accessing the clear air of your intellect and logic to help you out of any quagmire of emotions that has stagnated. The goal is clarity and objectivity. Expose yourself to some crisp, clear winter air if your climate allows to embody this energy further.
Because Pluto is conjunct this new moon, there is a feeling of destiny, of a gravitational pull to change something. It could be an ending or a beginning. Either way you sense there is no turning back. Because of the Aquarius energy, you may be very clear on what you don’t want. Sometimes this can also manifest as “the grass is always greener” trap, whereby you always feel like you need to be reaching for something else. Use the self-discipline of this new moon to focus on what you do want. Have faith in yourself to create a vision that is 100% you. If you stop at only defining what you don’t want, you cut yourself off from your creativity and innovation to forge a path that holds happiness and fulfillment for you. You aren’t too weird or too different. The world needs you to ignite your unique spark.
Intentions: I honor my inner ice queen and cultivate the space to access her guidance. By being my authentic self, I cultivate more healthy emotional connections with others, not fewer. I utilize my self-discipline and objectivity to focus on what I want and how I want to give back to my community
