3.25 Lunar Eclipse in Libra: Born to Love and Thrive

You are here: Home / Moon Report / 3.25 Lunar Eclipse in Libra: Born to Love and Thrive

//  by Lizzy Zuege//  Leave a Comment

Eclipse season kicks off with clearing the air in our relationships. Someone is likely falling off a pedestal somewhere in your world. It may even be you. When you idealize someone, you decrease intimacy because you deny that person their humanity. Of course, it’s wonderful to think the world of someone and to believe in their abilities with all your being. But when we do that at the expense of having compassion for them when they don’t live up to the ideal, you miss out on being there for someone when they might need you the most. This doesn’t mean that you aren’t honest about your experience if they broke a promise. Perhaps you both need to reexamine any unspoken assumptions/expectations to clear the air and update the stories you are telling yourselves about the other person. Mercury is in Aries, giving you the courage and assertiveness to share your truth. It’s not always the greatest listener, so be extra intentional about understanding where others are coming from.

The ruler of this eclipse, Venus, is in Pisces and right next to Saturn, also in Pisces. This gives a gravitas and seriousness to your love. Steadiness, reliability, and kindness are qualities that aren’t often thought of as “sexy.” However, with Venus and Saturn together in the sky, you reevaluate what your needs are and the qualities of a grown-up take on more and more appeal. Because the heart learns to trust over time, not just with the initial attraction and desire. And this trust is critical to developing deeper intimacy (which is definitely hot IMHO) and that sense of emotional belonging that you crave.

Jupiter and Uranus are closing in on their conjunction, which is exact 5.18.24. This is a major aspect of 2024, bringing inventiveness and exploration with it. These two planets make nice aspects to Venus, Saturn, and Neptune for this eclipse, which brings a generous, altruistic, and honorable vibe, even amid the sudden changes eclipses typically bring. I get the sense that you’ll land on your feet and hopefully feel supported with whatever you are going through. The real gift of Uranus and Jupiter coming together is expanding what you thought was possible. It’s like you open a door to a world you didn’t even know existed and you are forever changed. Somewhere, someplace you have limited your belief in yourself and the inherent potential that you carry inside yourself. Tiny seeds have the DNA to grow a majestic tree. Your DNA has all the direction you need to help you grow into maturity. Trust in your ability to thrive and grow; it’s what you were born to do.

Questions to Ponder: How am I developing my relationship skills to foster more trust and equanimity with my beloveds? In what ways can I cultivate compassion for others no matter what place they are in emotionally? What are you noticing about your ability to thrive and grow?
