5.7 New Moon in Taurus: A Whole New World

This new moon is a blessed, fertile opportunity. There is literally no tension among the planets. The downside is that we follow the Taurus shadow side to be lazy/lackadaisical and not take initiative. You sometimes need the friction to get a move on. The climax of a story is usually when the main characters work through dynamic energy and differences. When you don’t have that creative tension, sometimes you aren’t that motivated to do much of anything. That would be a mistake with this new moon. The good news is that it falls in the neighborhood of the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction, which should provide the juice to use the blue skies to your advantage. This new moon and the upcoming full moon on 5.23 are excellent times to go ahead and run with your wildest dreams.

When an opportunity comes knocking, remember to open the door. If you are worried that something is too good to be true, your worry may lead you astray. This is not a time to stay too small. Your ability to transcend limitations this spring is turbo-charged.

With the five planets in earthy Taurus, your senses have some important information for you. In our culture, you are typically trained and rewarded to be in the mental plane a great deal of the time. Be intentional about shifting your awareness to your perception and senses. This will help you stay present in the midst of any risks you are taking or contemplating. Get outside and witness the spring growth to remind yourself of your resiliency in the midst of the unknown.

Think back to about a week ago, 4.29, when Mars and Neptune were conjunct each other. What dream/vision did you tap into? Perhaps you became aware of an illusion that you can release now. While Neptune and Mars are still relatively close to each other for this new moon, Mars has moved in Aries, helping you to jettison any excuses or fears about taking action and initiative. Use the combination of the Taurus steadiness and work ethic to ground your ability to take action and be courageous in the new chapter that is emerging for you.

Intentions: I trust the flow available to me now. My senses and feelings help guide me to the best next step. I am worthy of my wildest dreams and the universe is supporting me.
