With five planets in Gemini, the ideas and conversations will be flying fast and furiously. In the midst of this exploration, you are being asked to listen and clarify with the square from Saturn to the Sun, Moon, and Venus as well as Mars closing in on its square to Pluto (exact on 6.11). To me, this speaks to a maturation of your approach and attitude about a current situation. When you start a cycle, you fake it till you make it to create something that isn’t real yet. It is a trust walk. However, the blustery youthful energy that is appropriate to launching something will not sustain it in the long term. Enter this new moon. Saturn squares ask us to step up to the plate, to demonstrate if we’ve actually learned something of value, versus just talking about it or putting off something because of fear. Saturn says “Face the fear and do it anyway.” And if you think about it, the most rewarding and fulfilling aspects of your life probably have involved you growing as a person, facing your fears, and dealing with a challenge.
With Mercury next to Jupiter in the early degrees of Gemini, trine Pluto, your mind is expanding and you are able to better hold complex ideas and perspectives in your consciousness. Jupiter expands what it touches, so take the time you need to clean up stories and ideas that are not healing and empowering that you are ready to let go of. This is a potent time to change your beliefs and therefore change your thinking and current storyline. Utilize this superpower when you encounter the challenges/upsets that may come with the Saturn/Pluto aspects to the new moon and Mars, respectively. Another possible reaction to these astrological configurations is self-righteousness and being strident with your words and ideas. If this creeps up, the antidote is to listen more to understand the feelings and values beneath the words that someone is using.
We have all witnessed the pain that can come when we over-identify with an ideology, religion, place, history, and/or ethnicity. Or when we perceive someone else through a stereotype, robbing them of their humanity. In these instances, you identify with the story instead of the larger fabric of the DNA we all share. Be mindful of thoughts that dismiss someone who doesn’t have the same beliefs as you as stupid or misinformed. If you think that they would change their perspective if they just knew what you did, then this new moon is an opportunity to honor the life experience, pain, and complexity from which our identity is typically forged. You can’t think your way through this.
Intentions: I clean up self-doubt and confusion in my mind to clear the space for possibility and inspiration. I value what I’ve learned and the skills I have acquired. I am capable and resourceful in the face of any current challenges.
