This new moon brings a correcting influence. If you are rushing in to help a person or fix a situation, be mindful of your motivations. Does the person want help? Did they give you permission to do what you are doing? There is a strong emotional intensity to this new moon. However, it’s not well integrated into the rest of your psyche yet, so you’ll want to slow your roll and get some input to support your inner growth.
Uranus opposes this New Moon, liberating you from some emotional patterns and habits that are no longer serving you. Scorpio energy can be like a dog with a bone, obsessive and attached to something working out a particular way. It’s time to break the patterns and habits that actually originate from a wounded place inside of you and choose a more liberated path. This is the correcting influence of this new moon, and it is strong medicine. However, if you take it and commit to healing and accepting those parts of you that you may have left out in the cold in the past, you will feel stronger and more integrated into the truth of who you are.
Every new moon is a seed point in the cycle. That means you are letting go, releasing, and composting. This part of the cycle takes faith. How else would we plant a seed and believe that something that fits in the palm of our hand will grow into a beautiful plant? Though it may be difficult to keep your perspective amidst the strong emotional winds, this too shall pass. And what you see now before you will change and transform and evolve into something else.
With Mercury square Pluto plus all of the Scorpio energy for this new moon, you will most likely be preoccupied with something. There’s a situation, person, relationship, etc. that you have strong opinions and feelings about. Like a dog with a bone, you can become obsessed with your own point of view. This configuration does not support trying to convince others what you think, as you will most likely come on too strong. It does support healthy introspection by asking yourself why this is so important to you right now. If you can turn it inward, deeper levels of self-awareness are available to you.
Intentions: I have the serenity to accept the things I can’t change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference (From the Serenity Prayer). Anything that I want to change externally is a mirror for transformations happening internally.
